Job Description:

Allied Universal® is hiring a Travel Risk Manager. The Travel Risk Manager is responsible for determining the organizational requirements to plan for the safe travel security of client executives and employees. The Travel Risk Manager will identify individuals and teams needed to plan and execute the travel plans and defines the relationship between the various teams and individuals in the Travel Risk Management program. Provides appropriate response measures for global incidents and crisis's impacting the traveling population.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide safe travel planning within business line to ensure continuity readiness and compliance with the Global Security Travel Risk Management Program Standards; maintain accurate and timely updated travel plans, communicates plan status including enhancements and issues that could impact resiliency to the Travel Risk Management program; provides travelers with relevant and balanced travel security advice, pertinent to their travel destination and personal profile
  • Provides analytical reports on all emerging risks; monitor new and emerging travel and corporate security threats and provide a balanced threat assessment to support the client's business activities in developed and emerging markets
  • Actively lead testing and training within business lines, and support efforts during a business interruption, times of crisis and world events as required
  • Oversee all international health and safety standards, policies, practices and procedures; effectively administer the client's international crisis management plan when required; evaluate the client's risk associated with emerging trends, world events and travel alerts in areas where the client has a presence and/or interests
  • Oversee process for review of international travel registration, travel tracking, risk messaging; support compliance with those processes; and consider special circumstances related to health, safety and security for client employees; create and maintain systems for consistently reporting incidents and tracking cases; analyze trends and refine preparedness and practices on an ongoing basis; builds and maintain productive alliances with key stakeholders
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all incidents and developing crisis abroad, including "on-call duties" beyond regular work hours and heavy volume of engagement immediately before and during times of heavy travel; coordinates responses to incidents with key client stakeholders, including but not limited to, business unit leads, business continuity, human resources, crisis management team, and various others; establish mechanisms for providing support to impacted client employees and families during an emergency; develops and manages alerts for significant events in areas where the client has a presence and/or interests; investigates breaches of travel security process and policy; investigates travel data errors and missing data
  • Provide training and expert advice on global health, safety and security to client leadership, committees, employees, and various other working groups; develop and implement outreach programs for client employees traveling abroad as well as refines existing training resources; conduct site visits and/or makes safety assessments in locations where the client has a presence and/or interest; serve as primary liaison to other organizations, service providers, and governmental organizations (e.g., U.S. State Department) on international travel issues; analyze social media and other open-source information to define security risks presented to the client by external activists and protest groups; provide regular updates of informative and useful information on calla borate site relating to Travel Risk Management program
  • Manage relationships with Global Security Managers and subject matter experts to collect data and ensure proper plan execution; maintain the Global Security Travel Risk Management Program including facilitation of testing exercises, development of instructional guides for business, monitoring of world events that impact oversees travels, and adjust plans accordingly; maintains and develop Travel Risk Management website and associated links
  • Assists in the identification, development, and implementation of processes and solutions for Global Security to provide a means and mechanism to capture, report, and understand travel risk and readiness in alignment with the global program; establishes relationships with business users via calls, meetings, and individual Q&A sessions and promote an understanding of how the program translates into data; designs reports, metrics and dashboards that provide accurate representation of continuity information by using data analytics to ensure the proper understanding of the rationale and the value they provide
  • Produce proactive data analytics and reporting to identify risk, themes and business trends; undertake process improvement where gaps/new locations are added

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Master’s degree in business management
    • Bachelor’s degree in business management with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Travel Risk or Incident Management Program
    • Associate’s degree in business management with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Travel Risk or Incident Management Program
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Travel Risk or Incident Management experience
  • Experience of the commercial travel market
  • Proven ability to analyze information about geopolitical and physical security risks, and to produce detailed and accurate threat assessment reports
  • Proven ability to develop and implement security, risk and governance strategies, policies and processes and ability to functionally audit program
  • Ability to resolve issues in role specific dimensions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Investigative and Fraud related experience
  • Experience working with business managers from different working groups
