As a Security Officer Community Patrol Driver in Bowie, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support residents with exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. At Allied Universal, you will bring reliability, agility, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to each shift while putting people first.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and community activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or disturbances while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Communicate with residents, guests, site contacts, and/or local first responders when appropriate regarding incidents, rule concerns, and security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
