Security Officer - Healthcare Facility - Part Time

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to manage visitor traffic, checking credentials and/or directing individuals in accordance with location protocols.
- Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and following Allied Universal post orders and client-directed expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
