Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support controlled access activities. - Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location serving members of the public.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Monitor access to the location by observing visitor, staff, and resident movement, verifying authorized entry, and reporting suspicious or prohibited activity according to post procedures.
- Complete routine reports and document incidents, patrol activity, and/or policy-related concerns, while assisting with de-escalation and maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- A minimum of 6 or more months of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
