As a Security Guard - Government Site - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, supporting a secure environment for all occupants. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents, while you provide excellent customer service and clear communication to visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly environment.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, residents, and staff while enforcing site-specific policies and procedures.
• Prepare detailed written reports on incidents, observations, and security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Remain alert and attentive during assigned shifts, adapting to changing situations and conditions at the location.
• Assist in emergency response activities as directed, following established protocols and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or equivalent is required as per client requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
