Security Guard Station Door Patrol

As a Security Guard Station Door Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring a caring, reliable approach, work as part of a team, and act with integrity while responding to daily site needs.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and assigned post orders at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and report security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, platforms, concourses, corridors, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observe for policy violations or suspicious behavior, and document security-related events in required reports.
- Support emergency response activities by assisting with crowd management, directing the public during service disruptions, and communicating relevant information to supervisors and/or first responders.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
