Security Officer Active Patrol Officer

As a Security Officer Active Patrol Officer in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. This unarmed patrol role offers the chance to work with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, while acting with integrity and putting people first.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout assigned buildings, public access areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or access control issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations in required reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors, site contacts, and/or responding agencies.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
