Security Officer Armed Building Office Patrol

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Guardian in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a dynamic government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and interact professionally with the public. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout stations, platforms, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential issues.
- Monitor access points, restricted areas, and/or high-traffic public spaces, verifying authorized entry when required and addressing security-related concerns with professionalism and respect.
- Support law enforcement and/or transit personnel during emergencies, evacuations, medical calls, and service disruptions while maintaining a visible presence and following post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
