Security Officer Full Time Emergency Housing Job in Brooklyn, New York

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol CPR in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for individuals, families, staff, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or program participants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or access issues.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for individuals receiving services.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
