Security Officer Full Time Patrol

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness and customer service. This role offers the chance to work with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, while putting people first and acting with integrity every day.

- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entry points, common spaces, and perimeter areas, to help identify unusual activity and policy violations.
- Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying authorization when required, and helping to support orderly movement of people, vehicles, and deliveries.
- Support a respectful environment within a government location by providing directions, addressing questions, and assisting with de-escalation during tense or sensitive interactions when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
