Security Officer - Government Facility - Evening Shift

As a Security Officer - Government Facility - Evening Shift in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas as part of an unarmed patrol post. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and communication to all individuals at the site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist residents, staff, and visitors with security-related inquiries and directions as needed.
• Work collaboratively with local authorities and site personnel when required during incidents.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
