Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Driving Patrol

As a Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Driving Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a government transportation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This is a driving post, offering variety throughout your shift while supporting employees and visitors with strong customer service, communication, and integrity in a caring, team-focused environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, boarding areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, verify permitted activity, and document security-related concerns according to post procedures.
- Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities, and support routine operations during changing conditions, schedules, and/or public activity levels.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
