Security Officer Residential

As a Security Officer Patrol Circuit in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will interact with residents and guests, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and support daily operations with integrity. In our caring, agile, and reliable team, your presence helps create a welcoming environment for everyone on site.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe resident and visitor activity to help to deter trespassing, loitering, and/or policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
- Support property personnel with security-related concerns, provide directions and information when needed, and complete assigned reports and logs related to daily activities and/or incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
