As a Security Professional - Government Transit Patrol - Morning Shift in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for all. Your presence will help to deter potential security-related incidents while you deliver outstanding customer service and communication to those on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or incidents to management and/or the appropriate authorities.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and information while maintaining a professional presence.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site staff to address security-related matters as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Experience working in environments with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
