Security Officer Access Control Job in Brownsville, Texas

As a Security Officer Access Control in Brownsville, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a collaborative team. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor or contractor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, coordinate with appropriate site contacts regarding deliveries and contractor arrivals, and report unauthorized access attempts.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to identify and report security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
