Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This role is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you may also patrol by bike to cover the property. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
• Maintain a visible presence near high-traffic areas such as store entrances, checkout lanes, and customer service areas while supporting a positive shopping experience.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, disruptive behavior, suspected theft, medical calls, and fire and/or alarm activations.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, package concerns, and hazards, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Follow post orders and local laws regarding the possession, handling, and use of issued firearm and other authorized equipment.
• Assist with access control at entrances, docks, and restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring visitor flow, and/or screening deliveries as directed by site policy.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs with clear, accurate details and submit documentation per site requirements.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarm panels, radios, and/or mobile patrol applications when assigned.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when needed and provide clear information to support incident response.
• Support loss prevention efforts by observing behaviors, maintaining patrol patterns, and reporting suspected shoplifting and/or organized retail crime indicators to appropriate personnel.
• Participate in required training, briefings, and post updates and follow Allied Universal standards and client guidelines for appearance and conduct.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least one year of security experience is required.
• At least six months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A Level III armed certification is required for Texas only.
• Applicants must be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
