Security Officer Full Time Access Systems Driver Job in Buford, Georgia

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Systems Driver in Buford, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist with security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in or loading areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, truck gates, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Document security-related incidents, access-control activities, and unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
