Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while maintaining readiness to work in an armed patrol post.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor movement of personnel, visitors, and/or vehicles, report unusual activity, and document incidents according to post orders and site protocols.
- Support controlled access and security-related operations in a correctional environment while interacting professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- A minimum of 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
