As a Security Guard - Corrections Facility - Access Control in Bushnell, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more.

As a Screener with Allied Universal in a corrections environment, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Your primary focus will be on monitoring and patrolling designated areas within the location, where you will remain highly visible to help deter potential security-related incidents. You will be responsible for conducting routine patrols, interacting professionally with staff and visitors, and providing exceptional customer service and communication at all times. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter prohibited items and activities.
• Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or detainees to provide information and enforce site protocols.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to established procedures and report promptly to Allied Universal management and client representatives as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
