As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. This post requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you support the site's daily operations. You will remain highly visible, interact with staff and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional presence. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, responding to situations as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate escalation and emergency response protocols.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the location, verifying credentials and assisting visitors as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required by site protocols.
  • Remain alert and aware of the surroundings to identify and report potential security-related threats or hazards.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity while representing Allied Universal at the assigned government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
