Security Gate Officer

As a Security Officer Patrol Coordinator in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with strong customer service and communication. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first, work collaboratively, and act with integrity while helping create a welcoming environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter zones.
- Monitor access points, loading and receiving areas, and high-traffic spaces to help support authorized entry and help to deter unwanted activity.
- Observe site conditions and personnel activity, document security-related concerns, and communicate with supervisors and/or local authorities when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
