Security Officer Morning Access Control

As a Security Officer Morning Access Control in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail-related location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while staying agile and reliable during daily routines.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, warehouse areas, parking lots, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries, and follow site protocols for entry, exit, and restricted areas.
- Support loss prevention and inventory protection efforts by reporting suspicious behavior, checking doors and gates, and observing shipping and receiving activity for policy compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
