Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, helping to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted behavior through visible presence and timely communication.
- Assist with access control, crowd flow, and closing procedures as directed, while supporting a professional atmosphere for customers and staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
