Security Officer Unarmed Retail Job in Calabasas, California

As a Security Officer Unarmed Retail in Calabasas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor alarm panels, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while communicating professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or guests at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
