As a Security Officer Retail Vehicle Patrol in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and sharing information with site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assist with access control and crowd management, and support orderly operations during store hours, peak shopping periods, and/or special events.
- Provide visible presence throughout the location, offer directions and assistance to guests, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
