Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Carlsbad, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated chemical and petrochemical locations. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting employees, visitors, and contractors as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and access control measures performed at the location.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding any security-related issues or concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
