Security Officer Access Monitor

As a Security Officer Access Monitor in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location where you will manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with location protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
- Support daily operations at an industrial location by helping to control access to restricted areas, observing loading and receiving activity, and reporting maintenance and/or security-related issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
