Security Officer - Retail Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Full-Time in Central Valley, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and tech/media/telecom locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding as appropriate to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail and/or media locations and their perimeters, adapting to different environments and conditions as required by the site.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of observations, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal policies.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance and information as needed.
• Follow all company and site-specific protocols regarding security-related matters and emergency response.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
