What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the retail environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to support a welcoming atmosphere and help to deter potential disturbances.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Document and report security-related incidents and/or suspicious activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
• Remain alert to surroundings and potential hazards while on patrol, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the retail location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
