Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Access Coordination Job in Chantilly, Virginia

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Coordination in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a fast-paced logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers the opportunity to be part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first, works together, and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor arrivals, and following established entry and exit procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Support the orderly movement of vehicles and personnel around the location while maintaining accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff information.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
