Security Officer Credential Specialist

As a Security Officer Credential Specialist in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry points, manage badges and visitor access, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role offers the chance to deliver exceptional customer service and communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
- Monitor entry points, gates, loading areas, and/or reception areas to help support authorized access, report irregular activity, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, warehouse areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and report maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues.
- Complete required logs, reports, and/or incident documentation while following Allied Universal standards and site procedures for a logistics and distribution location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Possess access control or badge experience preferred.
- Possess customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
