Security Officer - Entry Control

As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Charleston, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a front desk location within a chemical and petrochemical environment, where you will help manage access, greet visitors, support badge and alarm processes, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being visible, communicative, and customer focused while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor reception duties, badge access support, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Monitor the front desk area, greet employees, contractors, and visitors, verify identification and access permissions, and help to document arrivals, departures, and deliveries.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
- Complete front desk logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding unusual activity, access concerns, and/or policy questions.
- Support a professional lobby presence within an industrial location by helping to control entry points, directing guests to designated areas, and following established screening and reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
