As a Security Professional – Government Site - Front Desk - Full Time in Charleston, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a government location, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include managing access control, verifying credentials, responding to alarms, and monitoring visitor activity using computer or tablet systems. You will be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $14.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification, and maintaining visitor logs as required by location protocols.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and other personnel, addressing inquiries and directing individuals as needed.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or location personnel.
• Support location operations by maintaining a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
