Security Officer High Rise Patrol

As a Security Officer Patrol Team Member in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will work as part of a caring, reliable team that values agility, innovation, and integrity while assisting with daily site needs.

- Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter access points, helping to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual activity, assist with access and crowd flow concerns, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property issues observed during patrols.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and visitor activity, following post orders, and reporting suspicious behavior, trespassing, and/or unauthorized access in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
