As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling a retail environment to help create a secure atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be expected to operate a vehicle while on duty. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using Allied Universal protocols for guidance.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor for any suspicious activity and/or hazards within the location, reporting findings to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, customers, and law enforcement as needed.
• Complete required reports and logs to document incidents, patrols, and observed activities.
• Assist with crowd control and/or access control during peak times or special events as directed by site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• This post primarily involves driving and is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
