As a Security Officer - Education Alarm Monitor in Cherry Hill, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a prominent education location, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff. You will be responsible for monitoring access, managing badge protocols, and supporting security-related operations using alarm panels and computer systems. Your presence will help to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Greet and assist students, staff, visitors, and guests at the front desk, providing a courteous and professional presence.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and credentials, helping to maintain a secure environment.
• Enforce site-specific policies and procedures while delivering customer service to everyone entering the location.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Manage visitor logs, issue visitor passes, and maintain records as required by the location's policies.
• Communicate with campus personnel and Allied Universal management regarding incidents or unusual activities.
• Support security-related emergency response activities as directed, maintaining composure and professionalism throughout.
• Provide general information and directions to visitors and staff as needed, contributing to a welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
