Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening Specialist Job in Cherry Hill, New Jersey

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening Specialist in Cherry Hill, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic educational location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and guests, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen persons and belongings entering designated locations using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, escalating prohibited items or irregularities as directed.
- Verify identification, access credentials, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
