Security Officer Visitor Screening Part Time Job in Cherry Hill, New Jersey

As a Part Time Unarmed Visitor Screening Security Officer in Cherry Hill, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients at an outpatient medical facility. You will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with patients, staff, and visitors, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals and permitted belongings entering assigned campus locations using established procedures and security-related equipment.
- Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate locations, and communicate entry requirements in a professional manner.
- Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as needed.
- Maintain accurate screening-related logs and reports, and help to deter unauthorized access at assigned education facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
