Security Officer - Hospital Job in Chesterfield Court House, Virginia

As a Security Officer Hospital Morgue Security in Chesterfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, where you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support staff, patients, and visitors with professional communication, and respond to security-related concerns. This role may include assisting with sensitive hospital areas and situations while delivering compassionate service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately and promptly according to established reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Be willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.
- Be able to restrain individuals as required.
- Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
