Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Job in Chicago, Illinois

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors while demonstrating agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalating concerns as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the financial institution, including exterior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a professional environment at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
