As a Security Guard - School Grounds Unarmed in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by patrolling assigned areas within an educational location. You will remain visible to promote a secure environment and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the educational location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report activities or incidents that may impact the security-related environment of the educational location.
• Collaborate with campus staff, students, and visitors to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
• Support access control procedures and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Remain alert to unusual activities and/or potential threats, promptly reporting observations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
