As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a financial services location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including exterior areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter zones, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report unusual behavior, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders.
- Support opening and closing procedures, maintain a visible presence in customer-facing and operational areas, and complete required reports related to daily activities and security-related incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
