Security Officer Full Time Secure Entry Operations Job in Chicago, Illinois

As a Security Officer Full Time Secure Entry Operations in CHICAGO, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting activity, and communicating professionally with associates, visitors, and delivery personnel. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering reliable service, working collaboratively with your team, and acting with integrity in support of Allied Universal’s caring culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by policy.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
