Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Services Job in Chicago, Illinois

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Services in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and care.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and surrounding property to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, campus wayfinding, and adherence to site access procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and emergency responders as directed.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain daily activity logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
