Security Officer - Hotel Patrol

As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a prominent hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the property. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, assisting guests and staff with exceptional customer service, and maintaining open communication to foster a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the hotel and resort environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff.
• Communicate and report incidents, maintenance needs, or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities as required.
• Support site operations by assisting guests and staff with inquiries and directions, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
