As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. By staying visible and approachable, you will provide excellent customer service and clear communication to everyone on-site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents within the facility and surrounding areas.
  • Assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors with security-related questions and site access procedures as needed.
  • Work in varied environments and conditions as required by the client site.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, law enforcement, and Allied Universal management as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent is required to meet client requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
