Security Officer - Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer - Patrol Specialist in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations within a financial institution, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your interactions will focus on delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols as needed.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the financial institution.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues, adapting to varying working environments as required by the location.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client staff to support ongoing security-related needs at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
