Security Officer Protective Patrol Agent

As a Security Officer Protective Patrol Agent in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming atmosphere, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This unarmed role combines customer service, communication, and routine patrols in a dynamic setting, backed by a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a hotel and resort environment.
- Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, hallways, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unwanted behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points, assist with visitor and vendor access activities, and support property rules and security-related protocols.
- Support hotel operations by communicating with site contacts and emergency services when needed, documenting observations, and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
