As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver Route Inspection in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and required information to appropriate campus contacts and emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-related locations, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required activity logs while following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
