What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within an educational and museum-like location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, classrooms, common areas, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and delivery activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly movement throughout the location.
- Support special events, exhibitions, and high-traffic periods by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions, and reporting security-related concerns according to post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
